The Flower Shop That Comes to Hudson Bend
On Hudson Bend, Lake Travis is never far away. About 40 percent of the census area is water, and most streets off Hudson Bend Road run out to the shoreline. It's a great place to live and a long way to go for a bouquet, which usually means driving back out to RR 620 and south into Lakeway. So we come to you, with seasonal flowers hand-delivered on a schedule.
We're Alegria, a small, family-owned flower subscription from the Austin area. Mom designs each bouquet and makes the deliveries herself. Every one is a wrapped bundle of what's in season, put together so you can drop it straight into a vase. Hudson Bend sits inside our delivery area, about 16 miles northwest of Austin.
Life on the bend
Just southeast of the peninsula, Mansfield Dam has held back Lake Travis since 1942. RM 620 used to run across the top of the dam. Since 1995 it has crossed on a four-lane bridge just downstream. Out on the bend itself you'll find the Austin Yacht Club on Beacon Drive, which started in 1951 as the Austin Sailing Club, along with marinas tucked into the coves. Families here send their kids to Lake Travis ISD: Lake Travis Elementary, Hudson Bend Middle School and Lake Travis High School.
A Saturday on Hudson Bend might start on a dock and end on a deck. Either way, a bouquet left at your front door by 10 am means one less trip past the H-E-B at 2000 RR 620 South.
How it works on Hudson Bend
There are two plans: one bouquet each month, or one twice a month. We deliver on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of every month between 7 and 10 am. You choose your Saturday at signup. Your flowers are left at the door in biodegradable packaging that protects them, and we text you once they're dropped off, so there's no need to be home or off the lake.
Delivery is free, always. If you'll be away, tell us 3 days before your delivery and we'll skip that month and not charge you.
We don't take same-day or on-demand orders. Alegria runs on scheduled delivery, so fresh flowers just keep showing up.
