Mueller's Flower Shop, Delivered

The Flower Shop That Comes to Mueller

Mueller was planned so you could walk almost everywhere, from the cafés on Aldrich Street to the loop around Lake Park. Fresh flowers can be just as close. Alegria brings a seasonal bouquet to your door on a Saturday morning, so there's nowhere you have to go.

Alegria is a family-owned flower subscription from Austin. Mom designs every arrangement and handles the deliveries herself, and our Saturday route already passes through Mueller, about three miles northeast of downtown. The flowers go from the farm to our cooler, get a fresh cut within 12 hours of delivery and come straight to you, never waiting on a retail shelf. That's why your bouquet arrives vase-ready: unwrap it, add water, and you're done.

How Saturday delivery works in Mueller

There are two plans: one bouquet a month, or a bouquet twice a month. Drop-offs happen on the 1st and 3rd Saturday from 7 to 10 am, and you choose your Saturday at signup.

We set the bouquet at your door in biodegradable packaging and send you a text as soon as it's there. You don't have to be home, so your Saturday plans stay as they are.

Delivery is always free. Skipping a month takes 3 days' notice and doesn't cost anything. Same-day isn't something we offer: every order travels on our scheduled Saturday route.

Our plans

Meet the family behind Alegria

Alegria is our family's small business. Mom puts every bouquet together and drives them around town herself, and sometimes we film a little of it. Take a look.

From runway to Lake Park

Before it was a neighborhood, this was Austin's airport. Robert Mueller Municipal Airport opened in October 1930 and was named for Robert Mueller, a city council member who had died three years earlier. A new terminal opened in 1961, along with the blue-and-white control tower that still stands. On May 22, 1999, the last commercial flight, a Continental 737 bound for Albuquerque, pushed back from the gate, and the next day Austin's flights moved to Austin-Bergstrom.

The City of Austin and master developer Catellus turned the old airfield into the Mueller of today. The first family moved in on Emma Long Street in 2007, and Lake Park and the Southwest Greenway opened the following year. Lake Park covers 30 acres around a 6.5-acre pond, with an amphitheater and a loop trail, and a historic bow-truss hangar sits right beside it. In 2025 the last of Mueller's parks opened at the base of the restored control tower.

A Saturday morning in Mueller

Weekends here might start with a latte from Merit Coffee on Aldrich Street, a morning with the kids at the Thinkery, Austin's children's museum on Simond Avenue, or a matinee at the Alamo Drafthouse on the same street. Whatever you get up to, the flowers can be waiting at your door when you get home.
