The Flower Shop That Comes to Buda

Buda started out as a railroad town. It was platted as Du Pre in 1881 along the International–Great Northern line and renamed Buda in 1887. Today it's one of the fastest-growing places around Austin: about 15,100 people at the 2020 census, roughly double the 2010 count, spread out on both sides of I-35. Alegria is our answer to a busy Buda week, a flower shop that comes to your door instead of one more stop on the way home.

We're a small, family-owned flower subscription from the Austin area. Mom designs every bouquet and delivers it herself. Each delivery is a bouquet of 22 to 28 stems, carefully pre-arranged with seasonal flowers and wrapped, so it can go straight into your favorite vase.

Our plans

How Saturdays work in Buda

Choose your plan: one bouquet a month, or one twice a month. Buda deliveries happen on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month between 7 and 10 am, and you pick your Saturday at signup. We set the bouquet at your door in biodegradable packaging and text you as soon as it's there, so it's fine if you're already out at the park.

Delivery is free on every order. Out of town that weekend? Tell us 3 days ahead and we'll skip the month and not charge you.

We don't do same-day or on-demand flowers. Alegria is scheduled delivery only, so your flowers show up without you having to plan for them.

From Main Street to City Park

Downtown Buda still runs along the tracks. There's the gazebo on the green, the brick storefronts on Main Street, coffee at Summer Moon on Main, and the Downtown Buda Farmers' Market on Main as well. A few blocks away, Buda City Park on San Antonio Street fills up every April for the Buda Lions Club Country Fair & Wiener Dog Races, which reached its 29th year in 2026. Onion Creek winds through the northwest side of town. Out by the highway, the Buda H-E-B on the I-35 frontage road and the Cabela's water tower are the landmarks most people know.

If your Saturday morning is a walk downtown or a soccer game, the flowers can be on the porch before you get back, without a detour down I-35.

Meet the family behind Alegria

Alegria is a family effort. Mom designs each bouquet and makes the deliveries herself, and we film a little of it along the way. Take a look.

Sending flowers to someone in Buda?

Buda is served by Hays CISD, from Buda Elementary, first built in 1885, to Dahlstrom Middle School, Jack C. Hays High School and Moe and Gene Johnson High School. A 3-month gift subscription is a thoughtful thank-you for a Buda teacher, a welcome for neighbors in one of the newer subdivisions, or a check-in with family in town. You pay once, they get three months of fresh bouquets, and your card message from checkout arrives with the flowers.
