Rollingwood's Flower Shop, Delivered
The Flower Shop That Comes to Rollingwood
Rollingwood is a small city with a big backyard. It covers about seven-tenths of a square mile just west of MoPac, roughly three miles from downtown Austin, and at its heart is a park whose ball fields date back to 1968. Alegria suits that kind of neighborhood: seasonal bouquets brought to your door on a Saturday morning, so flowers never have to be one more stop on Bee Cave Road.
We're a family-owned flower subscription from the Austin area, and Mom designs every arrangement herself. Rollingwood is inside our delivery area. Each bouquet goes from the farm into our cooler, gets a fresh cut within 12 hours of delivery, and then comes straight to your door, never waiting on a retail shelf. It arrives ready to drop into a vase, with no trimming or prep.

A city that grew up around a ballpark
Rollingwood began in 1955, when George B. Hatley started developing the land, and it incorporated as a city in May 1963. The Western Hills Optimist Club, founded that same year to support local kids, bought eleven acres from Hatley, bordered by Rollingwood Drive, Nixon, Gentry, Wallis and Pleasant Drive, and in 1968 its members turned what had been hills into ball fields, leveled with tons of dirt trucked over from the expansion of Bee Caves Road.
The city bought 8.934 acres of that parkland from the club in 1993, and the deed still gives priority to youth sports, especially for kids in the Eanes school district. Today the upper park along Rollingwood Drive holds five ball fields run by Western Hills Little League and Western Hills Girls Softball, plus the Doyle Moore Field House and a playground. The lower park along Nixon Drive grew out of resident Hazel Maxwell's 1978 project with the Rollingwood Woman's Club, with picnic spots and grassy berms modeled on Wooldridge Park downtown. City Hall sits right beside it at 403 Nixon Drive.
Meet the family behind Alegria
Alegria is our family's business. Mom designs every bouquet and delivers them herself, and we share a bit of it along the way. Here's a look behind the scenes.
Saturday mornings around Rollingwood
Weekends here tend to start at the park and drift toward Bee Cave Road. Pepita's Cafe & Bar, on Bee Caves Road, serves breakfast plates like chilaquiles and avocado toast, and the Western Hills Athletic Club has had its private pool and tennis courts at the corner of the park since it organized in 1970. A few minutes east, the Violet Crown Trail heads south from its Zilker Park trailhead along Barton Creek, and MoPac carries you over Lady Bird Lake toward downtown.

Three months of bouquets make a thoughtful thank-you for a Little League coach, a welcome for neighbors who just moved in off Nixon Drive, or a surprise for a grandparent who never misses a game. You pay once, the flowers arrive on schedule for three months, and the note you write at checkout comes with the flowers.

Rollingwood: your questions
Do you deliver to Rollingwood?
Yes. Rollingwood is inside our delivery area. You can double-check your street on our delivery map, or reach out on our contact page and we'll look it up for you.
When will my bouquet arrive?
On the 1st or 3rd Saturday, whichever you picked at checkout. Deliveries usually arrive between 6 and 11 AM, and we'll text you when our family is on the way.
Is there a delivery fee?
No. Delivery is free on every order.
What should I do when the flowers arrive?
Just put them in a vase of fresh water. The stems were cut within 12 hours of delivery, so there's nothing to trim. Stir in half the flower food packet right away and the rest a few days later, keep the vase out of direct sun and heat, and change the water every couple of days. Our flower care guide has more tips.
Can I pause or cancel?
Skip any month with 3 days' notice, free of charge. You can cancel anytime on our website, or send us a note on our contact page.
